Sometimes when fitting twin carbs to Karmann Ghias the air-filters foul the decklid hinge springs, and the decklid is difficult to close.. This bracket fits into the holes left in the body when removing the springs, and is flipped up by hand and locates into where the spring usualy sits in the upper hinge on the decklid to support it. One will work fine, but two will be required if the lid is to be left open for some time.
